President's Biography

Freida von Schiller was elected President of the New York State Federation of Republican Women in April 2007 to a two-year term.  Freida, a native resident of upstate New York, is a retired teacher who has been involved with the Republican Party at numberous levels for three decades.

She is married to retired (Hamilton College, Clinton, NY Professor Coach) Manfred, who is currently managing the family farm.  Freida has two grown children and two granddaughters.

Freida served 2000-05 on the NFRW Barbara Bush Literacy Committee.  Literacy programs that are promoted through the National Federation are a passion of hers and she hopes that during her tenure as President she will be able to help grow programs in local clubs.  In 2000, Freida served as a Sergeant at Arms for the Federation.  She currently holds the position of Chief.

Freida has very strong feelings about the State and National Women's Federations and she promotes their philosophies wherever she goes.
