
Our Story
The New York State Federation of Republican Women (NYSFRW), established in 1937 with roots tracing back to 1919, unites Republican women across all 62 counties in New York to support the Republican Party, its candidates, and elected officials through grassroots efforts. With 35 local clubs, the NYSFRW fosters political engagement by providing education and experience, with many members becoming candidates and elected officials.
The organization advocates for key issues, recruits and trains candidates, and empowers women of diverse backgrounds in the political process. The annual Woman of the Year Award, named after Henrietta Wells Livermore, honors significant contributions to the party and community.
The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), founded in 1938, is a prominent women’s political organization with thousands of members and local units nationwide. It strengthens the Republican Party by recruiting, training, and electing candidates, promoting party initiatives, and empowering women from diverse backgrounds to participate in politics. Membership offers access to programs, resources, and opportunities, fostering political involvement at local, state, and national levels. Both organizations emphasize leadership, and impactful political engagement.
The NYSFRW Executive Committee is a powerful team of women leaders, each of whom brings unique qualities to the Federation and offers extensive grassroots and local political experience, professional accomplishments, and community involvement.
